Gina Gershon has signed on to the Jonathan Baker-directed thriller Inconceivable opposite Nicolas Cage, Faye Dunaway, Nicky Whelan and Natalie Eva Marie. Written by Chloe King, filming is set to begin next month with Lionsgate Premiere releasing the picture in the U.S., while Highland Film Group will sell internationally.
The film follows Katie (Nicky Whelan), who moves to town with her young daughter in order to start a new life after enduring abuse in her past and she quickly befriends another mother, Angela (Gina Gershon), and her husband Brian (Nicolas Cage). Angela notices odd behavior from Katie, and begins to question whether Katie’s intentions are as innocent as she makes them out to be, or if something dark is lurking beneath the surface.
Gershon’s past film credits include P.S. I Love You starring Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler and Killer Joe with Matthew McConaughey. She was recently cast in A Little Mermaid, the live-action family film based on Hans Christian Anderson’s 1837 fairy tale. Gershon is repped by APA and Untitled.
